I just wanted to share these photos of Lucy and Joe, a gorgeous pair of redheads, whom I’m photographed in the bluebell woods every year since I started doing the mini-sessions.
Love, love, love!
p.s.
And here’s an outtake with Aeyen trying to get in the picture!

This is one of my favourite photos from the bluebell mini-sessions I did last month. These twins were just too cute for words!
The mini-sessions this year have been a lot of fun to do. Thank you so much to the 31 wonderful families who came to participate over two week-ends. I am almost, almost, aaalmost done with all of them and will be sending off online album details by Friday this week. Thanks for being so patient!
Also, there are only very limited sessions left available for the month of June. I will be unavailable from July and will start to take bookings again from mid-August. If you are interested in having a summer photo session for your family, please contact me ASAP.
That’s it for now! I have so many photos to show from photo shoots done in May. Hopefully, once the bluebell photos are sorted, I can sneak in some time to post a few of them here.

Has it really been more than six months since I last posted here? Now, that is what we call terrible blogging! So much has happened since the last post. I’ve photographed so many wonderful families, children and babies in the last few months and I will try to post some of them here in the next few days.
But I suppose the biggest news from the last time I wrote is the birth of my second child–my boy–Ronen Alexander, who was born on December 30th 2009. I promise to post some photos of him very soon!
Aeyen is a few months short of being three years old! Such a big girl now….. and she has started going to pre-school this week. She loves being a big sister and is very proud of “her” baby.
On the photography front, things have been wonderfully busy! I am now finalising details to the bluebell mini-sessions which will take place in May. This is the third year that I’m doing it and I am looking forward to meeting families from last year who have already shown interest in doing it again. I also hope there will be new families to meet, of course! Watch this space for more information.
That’s it for now! But (sigh)… I have got to say, it’s so good to be back!
More posts to come, promise!

This session was a loads of fun because:
a) The weather was just perfect–not a cloud in the sky. When you live in England, this is a big deal!
b) The location, Castle Ashby Gardens in Northampton, was a photographer’s dream come true.
and
c) The family I photographed are very good friends of ours and it was more of a day out together than a portrait session!

My husband and I met Neil and Barbara in our former church in Tokyo, Japan before either couple was even married (or engaged!). Since then, we’ve seen each other get married, move to England and have children. And if we have our own way, we’ll probably marry off our firstborns in 20-something years’ time! (Gavin and Aeyen will probably hate us for all this craziness though!)
And just for fun, here are a few funny outtakes that I just love!

Was there something on my head?!!!

Neil, being…. well, Neil.

Gavin and Aeyen, herding (ie torturing) the ducks!
{Neil and Barbara–I am so glad I finally got to photograph you and the kids! You all looked gorgeous and we really enjoyed spending the day with you. I hope you like these as much as I do. Speak to you soon!}

I had a great time photographing this family last week! I first met Claire at a mum’s exercise class one year ago and I remember photographing her with her daughter, Sara, amongst the lovely bluebells in the spring. Later that year, in the summer, I photographed her again with her newborn son, Kaleb. And now, a year later, I finally get the big picture and photographed the whole family!
{Claire and Yan–I hope you like this sneak peek of your session! Your family was such a joy to photograph….. Speak to you soon!}

Meet Felix. He is only three months old but he’s already got his mum and dad wrapped around his wee little finger. Very lucky boy! One of the things I love about what I do is meeting new families and seeing grown-ups completely head over heels in love with their little ones.

{Sam and Danielle, thank you for welcoming me into your lovely home this week-end! It was a fun morning photographing you all. I hope you enjoy this sneak peek and will be in touch when the rest of your set is ready!}

I photographed this family on a very special day–it was the hottest day of the year in England (apparently) and it was also the little boy’s first birthday! Lemy was such a handsome little fella and it’s no surprise really–with parents looking like this!

{Mark and Veronica–thanks for letting me record your guapito’s special day! It was such a fun session and I can’t wait to show you the rest of the photos. I hope Lemy enjoys his party this week-end!}

Meet Baby Aliyah, barely one week old when these photos were taken. Isn’t she just lovely? I am sure you would remember her mum’s maternity session a few posts back.

I have to admit that the few hours before I photographed Aliyah, I was in a slightly upsetting situation. You know, the type of situation where you either want to lock yourself in your closet and bawl or distract yourself with some serious retail therapy. Both of which, I just could not do because a) I do not have a closet with enough space to fit myself in, and b) I have simply forgotten how to shop! Anyway, I digress. Bottomline is, I was not in the best of moods to take photographs.
However, I persevered and made my way to meet this family. And boy, I am so glad I did! I realise I just found a new way of coping with doldrums–newborn therapy! In the two hours that I spent photographing Aliyah and her family, I quickly forgot about how tough my morning was and I felt a whole lot better. I have this little angel to thank for….
{Ulani and David–you must be very proud of your little kiddies! Thank you for the great afternoon!}

I first met little CJ and his mum at a playgroup when he was only a few weeks old. After not seeing them for a while, I was pleased when Julie contacted me a couple of months ago to schedule a session to celebrate her husband’s 40th birthday. And my, I was really surprised to see how much CJ has grown! This family is oh so very lucky to have such a happy little boy!

{Paul and Julie, I hope you like the sneak peek! It was really fun–and easy!–photographing you and I have lots more to show. Speak to you soon!}

I was invited by Georgina, a mum I met at a playgroup, to take photos of her new project–her very own baby and toddler multi-sensory class called Busy Babes. Aeyen and I joined a few mums during the sample class, and we both had a fantastic time! Georgina, who led the class, was very engaging and the toys were amazing! I had to practically drag my little girl out of the hall when it had finished!
Here are some photos from the fun morning–

Check out the Busy Babes Website for more details about the classes and to see the rest of the pictures!
{Georgina, congratulations on the success of Busy Babes! Wishing you all the best for the future, and looking forward to seeing you soon…. Thank you for my gorgeous ‘mystery’ flowers too!}
